Cricket Kemp MA and Caitlin Walker BA are the directors of Magical Spelling Limited. They are both accredited trainers of NLP, and dedicated to the improvement of the teaching of spelling.

Cricket Kemp BA MA

Cricket Kemp, Magical Spelling
Cricket is an English Literature graduate with a teaching diploma in secondary English and Drama, and a nursery/infant PGCE. She trained primary school teachers in Nigeria for five years; taught secondary remedial classes in Newcastle upon Tyne for eight years; and joined a team working with disruptive and underachieving pupils in Cleveland secondary schools.

She gained an MA in Counselling and Careers Guidance from Durham University, and left teaching in 1985. Cricket was Training and Development Manager for Tioxide Group Services, an international chemical company, until December 1994, working in four UK sites and five overseas facilities.

She is now self employed as a business consultant, trainer and lecturer. She is an accredited Trainer of NLP and has managed NLP Northeast for 25 years. She also works with teachers, pupils, adults and schools, improving the teaching of spelling and learning strategies.

Caitlin Walker BA

Caitlin Walker
Caitlin has 4 years post-graduate research in strategies for lexical access at London University’s School of Oriental and African Studies, working in Ghana. She has been involved in NLP since 1990, applying the principles in teaching, from primary schools to post-graduate lecturing and individual tutoring.

She is an accredited Trainer of NLP. She teaches Clean Language and Systemic Modelling, applying the principles within business and educational settings, and with individual clients.

For six years Caitlin was a youth worker at the Calthorpe Project in Kings Cross, London, and she was a tutor at the award winning Dalston Youth Project in Hackney, using NLP and other strategies to help ‘at risk’ young people to catch up with their learning, improve their spelling and manage re-integration with their schools.

She has authored an Open University MBA unit in creativity and a PGCert in Coaching and Mentoring in Education for LJMU. She works with public and private organisations as a management and education consultant.
